I work on these distros whenever I have time, here and there, generally in bursts of a couple weeks every few months. All of my work in GPL'ed and in the CVS, so if you want something fixed or done, its possible to do it yourself. That is what I did with these installers, building upon the work of so many others. It is also possible to sponsor me to fix things.
I'd definitely work on this more if I could get a little money to do it. Then I wouldn't have to do other freelance jobs. No amount is too small, anything is appreciated. If I got $1 from each downloader, I would be very happy.
This page is for test releases, which means they are likely to have problems. Unless you need the latest-greatest, or just want to help test (thanks!), you should download the latest stable release from one of the sources below:
A still quick but not as dirty release of Pd-0.39.2-extended-test4.app. Basically all of creb should be included now on all platforms, and a very much updated version of [hid] for Mac OS X is included.
./pd in order for it to find all its stuff
To install:
tar xjf Pd-0.39.2-extended-test4-linux-i686.tar.bz2
cd Pd-0.39.2-extended-test4-linux-i686
make install prefix=/usr/local
To uninstall:
make uninstall prefix=/usr/local
org.puredata.pd.plist to
~/Library/Preferences (~ means your home
folder). If you already have preferences saved, this would replace
them.
Things seem to be working fine. Try things out and post to the list when things are broken. If I don't hear of any problems, I'll make this the release and stick it on the SourceForge page.
