See the Downloads page for less beta releases. This page is for the test releases. The core Pd distro is available on Miller Puckette's site The final releases are on the SourceForge downloads page.
These installers are definitely very beta. I work on them whenever I have time, here and there, generally in bursts of a couple weeks every few months. All of my work in GPL'ed and in the CVS, so if you want something fixed or done, its possible to do it yourself. That is what I did with these installers, building upon the work on so many others.
I'd definitely work on this more if I could get a little money to do it. Then I wouldn't have to do other freelance jobs. No amount is too small, anything is appreciated. If I got $1 from each downloader, I would be very happy.

For newbies: to install Gem, pmpd, xsample, dyn~, and vasp support,
copy the included org.puredata.pd.plist
to
~/Library/Preferences
(~
means your home
folder). If you already have preferences saved, this would replace
them.
I put together another Pd-extended.app release candidate. I finally figured out the Tcl/Tk 8.4.9 build problems, so its a proper build from scratch. Tcl/Tk 8.4.9 brings lots of lovely improvements, including Jamie Tittle's CoreGraphics updates. This release adds ugly but useful links to the Help menu to temporarily provide access to the bundled content until we make a better system.
Things seem to be working fine. Try things out and post to the list when things are broken. If I don't hear of any problems, I'll make this the release and stick it on the SourceForge page.
Lots of stuff has been added, including:
There is some stuff in the process of being added:

I just compiled a test version of Miller's latest version from CVS. It is the same build as above except that the core is 0.39test2 from CVS rather than 0.38-4. You need to install the Jack.framework for this one to run.

These installers are old and deprecated. Pd is now built as a MacOS X-style Pd.app.
: These installers allow you to install anywhere you want. But things will only work properly if you install in the default location.
This is an early test version of the next MacOS X installer, it isn't meant to be a final release yet, so if that's what you are looking for, look below.
Tcl.pkg
and Tk.pkg
. This is the package
that is included: TclTkAqua-8.4.1.dmg (Pd seems to have problems
with 8.4.4 and 8.4.2).
I have built a MacOS X Installer generator, so that all you need to do in order to build a complete .dmg/.pkg MacOS X installer is download the files from CVS and type "make"
This version has gotten to beta quality with one notable bug that comes from pd-0.37-test?: many of the help pages are not found when right-clicking and selecting "Help". Once that bug is fixed, this will be the most complete Pd distro ever (IMHO).
The Installer includes most of what's in the CVS: pd-externals (ext13, maxlib, ggee, etc. etc.), cyclone, pool, unauthorized, xsample, zexy, FLEXT, PDDP, abstractions, and tutorials. I also threw in a test version of a double-clicker and a bunch of binaries that I got from the web, these might not work for you: IEMlib, Gem, PDP, and vasp. It installs into Miller's default location: /usr/local/lib/pd.
